The all-American past-time is shared by many throughout this country. The feeling of a hot summer night, an ice cold beer (or lemonade), the smell of Boog's barbeque, and the priceless people-watching on Eutaw Street cannot be compared to anything else in this world. The atmosphere you get at a Baltimore Oriole's baseball game is unlike any other. On a given Friday night game, you can get an 80 year old man with his grocery bag full of peanuts who sits in the stands with his 1974 hand held radio listening to the commentary by Jim Palmer. Not two sections over, you get a rowdy crowd of college kids at the game for $6 student night. Just one level down, you get a father and son exchanging notes on how to keep score of the game. Slide over a little more and you get the biggest family reunion you've ever seen. Like I said, there is nothing like it.
Now Bobby can recall several months after we started dating that I once said to him, "Can we not go to anymore baseball games, please?" Not 2 months after that, I found myself on the 3rd floor of Camden Yards warehouse applying for a job to work there. 83 home games later, I was in love. Bobby likes to say about me that "She's the only girl who knows the intricacies of the infield fly rule, but still asks how many 'points' the O's have." (For those of you asking yourself what is wrong with 'points,' they are called 'runs.' There are no points in baseball). Although we no longer live very close to Baltimore, there are few things better than going to a baseball game for a date with my husband. While it may sound pitiful, I do get choked up when talking about things I feel deeply about. However, when Bobby heard the sniffles from the other room, without hesitation, he yells out to me, "THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!!!"

We got rid of Sammy Sosa so quick, they couldn't make the T-shirts fast enough! Just kidding, I just thought this was funny...
