The Phat Cat

Being an indoor cat and all, Poor Killian was beginning to gain somewhat of a gut that would frequently swing back-and-forth as he ran. While the rest of us are dieting and trying to keep our waistlines trim, we thought Killian should be doing the same.

After a few hours of searching online, Bobby found this website that sells a cat toy specifically designed to make the cat play with it in order to get his food, thus controlling how much food he gets at once and giving him some exercise while he's at it (I love run-on sentences!).

Here's how it works: one quarter to one half a cup of his food goes into the tube twice a day. There is a small opening on the side of the tube that only a few pieces can fall out of - feeding the cat. In order for those pieces to fall out, the cat needs to play or push around the tube to make them fall out.

He quickly caught on and gave in to our little game in order to feed his fat belly! So, we can now congratulate Killian for losing a whopping five pounds in the past 2 months! We now call him Jared and hold up his fat jeans to keep him motivated.
