The Easter Parade

Jump!

Well, it wasn't really a parade, but it was definitely Easter!

This is one of my favorite Holidays. Not only did my 23rd birthday fall on Easter this year, it's always an excuse to buy and wear a fun new dress! My nieces and nephews do the same thing and I look forward to seeing their adorable outfits every year!

This Easter was a little different as we decided to add a new tradition to our family. Bobby and I hosted a Seder (Passover) Meal, which is traditionally Jewish, but there are Christian takes on the traditional feast. It was honestly a great bonding time for our family, as we sat around to a very solemn, intimate meal. Every person played a part (including my 6 year old niece) and was able to fully participate in the ceremony. If you've never hosted a Seder Meal, I highly recommend it... Bobby and I have decided to host it for my family every year (next year in our new home)!

Anyway, I had my camera with me and thoroughly enjoyed snapping some pics of my brightly colored nieces and nephews!! If you want to see some more, head on over to my Photog Blog and check them out!

Spring is Here!

I feel like dancing...

Bobby and I took the top down on the Wrangler for the first time this season! It was so nice (and rather chilly) to feel the wind (i.e. gale-force winds) blow through my hair (and my not-warm-enough fleece jacket)! Oh, but it was a fun 2-hour ride up and back to Baltimore. Since everything is blooming, I soaked it all up, remembering how wonderful a season this is. Everything is coming back to life - rather reminiscent of the purpose of Easter. My mother-in-law always has the prettiest garden, so I took full advantage of everything in bloom!

On the home front, literally, we've picked out our kitchen and other options that will be built with the house! We finalize everything on Tuesday and then all the permits-schmermits can be submitted to the county and they can begin the building! Lots have been asking what the house will look like... NOTE: This is NOT our house, but here's a picture of the same model (ours mirrors this, although the front is a little different), just across the street from where our house will be! I will be posting updates once, you know, they start actually building.

In other news... Killian caught a bird a few weeks ago. Mind you, we live in a 3rd floor apartment. No bird feeders. Nada. If you are a bit queasy or are a member of PITA, I suggest you turn your head... and don't report me to PITA. Please note the bunch of feathers stuck to my poor cat's nose. He's so proud. (And don't worry, I scooped up the bird before Killian could do any damage).

LASTLY, there are some SUPER cute pictures over on my Photography Blog of my nephew, Ben (more to come). Have I mentioned he's SUPER cute? Not convinced? See for yourself.

See?? Told ya.
